Back in 2008, Starlight Photo Booth reinvented photo booth rentals in San Diego. We figured out it was better to keep the fun out in the open rather than enclose the booth in a little wooden box. The fun and laughter coming from our photo booth will light up any room and entertain all your guests. Add excitement to any wedding, party, school, or private event with a Starlight Photo Booth.
Starlight Photo Booth is a big hit at weddings, anniversary parties, birthdays, school functions, reunions, and more. We are also the perfect addition to any corporate event or trade show. What areas do you serve?
We’re based in San Diego, but we also serve Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties. Let us know where your event is and we’ll let you know if there’s a travel fee in the quote.
How many photos/prints are included in the price?
For the time you have hired us, we take as many photo sessions as possible. We will reprint a photo strip for everyone in the picture who wants one, plus an extra for the scrapbook if you have opted for our memory book option.
Is there someone with the booth to change ink/paper?
Yes. A friendly and professional attendant will not only be there to change the paper, but to guide your guests into getting the best photos and having the most fun possible.
Is there an extra charge for a “difficult” load in or set up?
It’s very rare, but some venues are too difficult for us to load into without extra time or an extra attendant. For example, theme parks, zoos, and movie studios sometimes require all equipment to be loaded on their golf carts because outside vehicles are not allowed on property. Let us know so we can quote you accurately.
How much space do you require for the photo booth?
Generally an 8′ x 10′ area is all that is needed for the Starlight Photo Booth. If you would like props, we would also need space for a 6′ table.
Do we get to keep the digital pictures?
Yes. The digital images will be uploaded to a gallery for you and you will have the option to download all of the photos into one folder. The images will be available to you for at least one year from the date of your event.
What if some of my guests pose "au-natural?" Do those pictures get posted online?
What can I say, it happens. Any pictures containing nudity will NOT be posted online due to terms of service with our online gallery host.
Can we design our own backdrop or photo lounge?
Yes. Our open configuration can shoot against any custom backdrop. It’s better to shoot against surfaces with a dull finish so the flash doesn’t reflect back at the camera.
Is there a charge for set up/strike?
Every rental includes 1 hour of set up, and 30 minutes of strike. For example, if you book a rental from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, we will arrive at 5:00 pm, and we will be packed up by 9:30 pm. If you would like us to set up earlier let us know so we can provide an accurate quote.
My event is at an upstairs location with no elevator, can your booth be set up there?
Our booth is the most portable, and can go virtually anywhere. If the set up requires us to go up more than one flight of stairs, there may be an extra charge for extra time or an extra attendant. Let us know so we can quote you accurately.
My event is on a military base, can you get on base?
Yes. We’re happy to fill out the paperwork. However, some bases, like North Island Naval Station, are currently requiring our employees to make a trip to the security office the day before the event and spend up to 3 hours waiting to be approved. There is a $200 charge for that.
What size does the photo booth print?
The standard, 3-picture photo strips are 6″ x 2″. We can also print 3 or 4 photos on a single 4″ x 6″. Please contact us for custom options.
Can I password protect my online gallery?
The default is no password. Please let us know if you would like to password protect your pictures, or if you do not want them uploaded at all.
